Ended up frogging this project and setting it aside. It was supposed to be a hat to go along with the cowl I just finished. Sadly it just wasn’t coming out the way I had intended. So for now, or at least until my disappointment and annoyance subsides, I have hidden it away.
It is still so beautiful though… I will try hand warmers next, and maybe a headband?

I had to frog all my work because I read the pattern wrong and had to many stitches.
Tears were nearly shed.
But I am back on track and knitting even faster, because I don’t have twenty extra stitches 😉
Sometimes things don’t always go as planned. The pair of gloves didn’t work out. The colors didn’t contrast enough to make the pattern stand out. I screwed up the amount of stitches several times. I frogged the whole thing (more then once) Â
But just because things don’t go as you planned, doesn’t mean the out come has to be bad.Â
Over the weekend my friends and I planned a beach trip. Communications were poor, and messy, and we got the beach later then expected. Yet, I still got to snorkel all the way out to that island. I saw starfish, clownfish, and dove for sand dollars. It was a hard swim, there wasn’t a lot to see, but it was still worth it. I saw a different side of the ocean and did something people don’t do everyday. Â
So don’t worry… just because it isn’t going your way, doesn’t always mean it’s going to be terrible.Â
😉
A piece I frogged.
I was planning for the mosaic pattern to be something along “bow ties are cool”
I have yet to figure out what I wish to make with them…
